Life isn't easy for anyone, but the more love we give, and the more love we have, the better life we'll lead.

When you come across a special soul, it's impossible not to boast about it. It's not everyday that someone meets a purrfect cat on the street. This human has his own theories about why this adorable and affectionate cat was dumped, but he gives his story of finding little Sweater. Sweater is one of the most special cats to date. He never gets tired of being snuggled and pet, he wags his tail like a dog, and he's incredibly gentle. He likes to press his forehead against his new owners (who hasn't had him very long), and he loves to touch noses. He loves watching TV, usually from his luxury throne (aka the basket with his blanky in it on the cat tree). The owner claims that his favorite shows are veterinary shows and Golden Girls!

This new owner was even going to TNR the precious thing before he fell in love with him. He decided he can't live without this guy, and now the two are inseparable. Enjoy the rest of the wholesome story!

Look at those ears!

Who wouldn't want an orange cat? They're just like gingers in real life, they're spunky and fiery and interesting. So this 11-year-old boy used to have an orange cat, but the cat crossed the rainbow bridge 7 years ago. He's been begging his parent's to get him another one for so long, but they had other responsibilities, other cats, and the timing just didn't feel right. Now, they decided it's time. And when it's time it's time! Timing is everything. So they go to their local shelter with the 11-year-old and his 6-year-old younger brother. They spot an orange cat there, and the shelter workers say that this one is skittish with people, but they let the boys sit in the room with the cat in case things work out. And lo and behold, the cat warms up to them immediately! It takes no time at all and the cat is rubbing his face on their hands and purring in their laps. Needless to say, they came home that day happier than ever, and with their family just a tiny bit bigger than before.

Cats are well known for their love of stealing, however they are not great at avoiding being caught. That's where this hissterical collection of cats stealing food comes from, and where their pawrents get their revenge.

It is no easy task being pawrent to a lawless cat child. You have so many different things to manage in your cat's life that it is only natural that they are able to get away with some parts of their clawminality. And seeing as we generally put more pressure on them to not rip up our furniture or climb on the walls, it is often the case that food is the subject of their clawminal tendencies.

And that is where this collection of funny felines caught attempting to and succeeding to steal their pawrent's food comes from. So sit back, make sure your cat child is far away from you so that they do not get any bright ideas, and enjoy the cat-based calamity and chaos that goes on in the homes of other pawrents.

The week is approaching its middle, and we're here to avoid the midweek slump with the special kind of zen only cats can bring.

It's easy to feel relaxed when a cat is around. Sure, cats might have their unexplained midnight zoomies, their random screams at blank walls, or their chase of imaginary prey. But all that pales in comparison next to the absolute zen state cats can get humans into. All cat pawrents have experienced more than once the weighted blanket situation - when the cat decides you're their bed, and there's nothing you can do about it. Just… embrace the current situation and relax into it. The purrs help, fur sure.

And this relaxation might even come just by being next to cats, in their vicinity. A cat who sleeps in the corner, who slowly blinks at you, telling you how they trust you with a mere look. So if you don't have a cat to be next to - try cat memes instead. Being next to cats in the digital realm, for coziness and relaxation.

Show a cat kindness once, and it will remember it forever.

We warn people about this all the time. Cats remember things. Cats can tell who is kind and who is not. At the end of the day, it is a known fact that cats domesticated themselves, and there is a reason for it. It's much easier to be spoiled and loved in a warm home with servants than it is to fight for every morsel of food out in the wild. And every day, even today, cats choose to give up the outdoor life, that it is too much for them. Cats choose to adopt humans for themselves.

You never know when or where it will happen, but the second that it does - the second that a cat chooses you - there is no going back from it. It will be the most regular day in the world, and out of nowhere, your life will completely change and will be, from then on, full of shenanigans, meowing and midnight zoomies. And it will be the best thing that has ever happened to you. You might not believe it in the moment, when your life is turning upside down, but you'll see it eventually.

Cats are always the best indicator of red flags in your partner.

We truly think that cats are like truth detectors. They may not always be able to tell you who is a good partner for you and who is not, but they will give you the signs. The way that your partner treats your cats means so much. If your partner is jealous of your cat and doesn't know how to deal with you showing your cat affection, that's a problem. If your partner thinks that you kissing your cat is disgusting and refuses to kiss you if you do, that's another problem. And if your partner, one day, gives you an ultimatum: it's either them or the cat, then we think that the choice should be a clear one.

Of course, it's never easy to make that choice. It's never easy to put your relationship off to the side because of the signs that your partner gives you. It's why we think that you should have the cat conversation early. The sooner you get to an agreement when it comes to your pets, the smaller the chance that you will end up in the situation that this woman and her husband ended up in.

Sometimes all you need to start your week is a cute cat purring in your lap or staring at you while you make breakfast and regret everything you did over the weekend.

Your cat may look at you with disappointment, and you know he's right. Just do your business and feed me, hooman. You make coffee while staring into space, processing everything that happened and everything you need to do next. The Monday existential stare hits hard.

Maybe you said yes to every plan you got invited to during the weekend. One dinner turned into three, one drink turned into five, one birthday party turned into the wildest karaoke night ever. And suddenly, it's Monday. Your body is awake but your soul is still somewhere between a crazy Saturday night and a gloomy Sunday evening. Now you have to work, and your cat is the only one judging your life choices. He's sitting there waiting to be fed, looking so lovely and silently judging you at the same time. Being adorable is basically his only responsibility. You're so lucky to have your own personal emotional support coworker living with you.

This collection of cat memes is the boost you need to tackle all your responsibilities and start your day on the right paw.

Some cats eat dinner. Other cats expect a full fine dining experience.

Some cats are perfectly happy with whatever lands in their bowl. Then there are the cats who approach dinner like they're reviewing a restaurant menu. The bowl goes down, the cat walks over, gives it a careful sniff, and pauses like it's thinking about the experience so far.

Bougie cats have standards. Chicken again? Didn't we just do chicken yesterday? Maybe today should be salmon. Or tuna. Something that sounds a little more exciting than the usual dinner scoop. They'll sit there staring at the bowl like they're waiting for the chef to come back out with a better option.

Of course, the moment hooman food appears, things get very interesting. The cat suddenly shows up next to the table like it was invited to the meal. Whatever is on the plate becomes the most important thing in the room. Sandwich, pasta, chicken… it doesn't matter. If a human is eating it, the cat immediately believes it must be the fancy food.

These cats are convinced the real menu exists somewhere else in the kitchen. The bowl might be acceptable, but clearly there are better choices hiding behind those cabinets. So they wait. They watch every move their human makes near the fridge or pantry.

And every once in a while, the patience pays off. A treat appears. A small bite of something better lands in the bowl. Bougie cats don't celebrate the victory. They simply eat it like this was the correct meal all along.

This cat defies every odd, and defines what it's like when even a pawfessional vet can be so wrong about them.

Every cat lover has this corner in their mind that's reserved for a specific alarm that blares up when a cat in need is right in front of us. It's this intrusive thought that goes something like "I can't leave this cat. They need my help, and I have the capacity to care for them. I can make this cat's life better." It's usually the result of the Cat Distribution System activating it, as if every cat lover is a sleeper agent for cat rescues.

This is exactly what this one woman describes - because against all odds and (ill) advice, she keeps the tiny kitten she found in her building's parking garage. The kitten was in such an unideal state, but this alarm in her head didn't allow her to let go. This woman took this kitten's care into her loving hands, and practically acted as if she had already adopted him.

But the problems didn't end here. With a very confused veterinarian's advice, and a reluctant husband, she's facing a front of feline resistance. But she's strong-willed, and her cat love knows no bounds. All we have left to do is wish her and her new kitten the best life pspspssible.

The myth about cats and dogs hating one another is about to be busted yet again.

It is still a widely known "fact" that cats and dogs hate one another, but we, as people who love both cats and dogs, have seen time and time again that it is, in fact, not true. Cats and dogs can be best friends. Under the right circumstances.

Some cats grow up with dogs, and that way, they are able to learn each other's differences and understand what these differences mean, rather than being afraid of them. Other cats bond with dogs over time, after spending a lot of time with them, and learning that the big, panting, fluffy, tail-wagging machine is actually a total lovebug, rather than something to be scared of.

Of course, it's not always easy. Cats and dogs really are different. So many of their behavioral cues are completely opposite. But a lot of us - people - are different too, and we know that with enough determination and enough desire, we can overcome any differences separating us. The same is true for cats and dogs. They just need to want to be friends enough, and it ends up working out.

Despite the fact that normally it takes time for cats and dogs to bond, some of them actually end up doing it very quickly. We think that they both understand good intentions, and if the intentions are good, then the differences between them don't actually matter. That is what we think happened in this video.

The kitten was very spooked by the doggo at first. The doggo was excited, wanted to make a friend quickly, but he was trying anyway, looking away, trying to seem less intimidating. The kitten wanted a friend, and so did the dog, and they made the effort, each in their own way, to make that happen. And before you know it, within a very short amount of time, this tiny orange kitten went from fearing to loving and cuddling with a giant Alaskan Malamute puppy, as if the universe knew that they were meant to meet and be friends all along.

Some cats arrive politely at the front door. Ducky decided to make her grand entrance in the middle of the street.

Last October, a tiny kitten was found sitting right in the middle of the road. She was hungry, covered in fleas, and somehow had managed to avoid getting hit by any of the passing cars. It's honestly a miracle she made it through the night out there. Instead of leaving her to fend for herself, this rescuer stopped, scooped her up, and brought her home.

Once she was safe indoors, things started looking up quickly. The fleas were taken care of, her food bowl stayed full, and the little street kitten finally got the chance to relax. She was given the name Ducky, an orange creamsicle baby who turned out to be incredibly sweet. What started as a tiny, scruffy kitten from the road slowly turned into a healthy, growing cat with a big personality.

Over the months Ducky has gotten bigger, stronger, and much more comfortable in her new home. The scared kitten from the road has been replaced by a happy cat who clearly enjoys the good life. There are cozy spots to nap, regular meals, and plenty of attention coming her way.

For someone who had always hoped the cat distribution system would eventually choose them, the wait finally paid off. The system delivered an orange kitten straight from the street, and she ended up being the sweetest little companion. Now Ducky is growing up safe, loved, and very clearly right where she was meant to be.

The second a mug of coffee appears, cats everywhere decide it's time to investigate the catpuccino situation.

Monday morning. Coffee gets poured. Mug hits the table. Within seconds a cat appears out of nowhere like it just heard a secret signal. Cats can sleep through alarms, vacuum cleaners, and entire conversations, but the moment coffee shows up they are suddenly wide awake and extremely interested.

A cat that discovers catpuccinos will never forget it. From that moment on, every cup of coffee becomes a full investigation. The mug is sniffed. The rim is inspected. A tiny head slowly leans closer like nobody will notice what's about to happen. The goal is simple: get one small sip before the hooman realizes what's going on.

Some cats get bold about it. Sitting right next to the mug, staring at it like it legally belongs to them. The second the human looks away, the cat moves in. Quick lick. Mission accomplished. Suddenly the cat looks very alert for a creature that was asleep five minutes earlier.

After that, the cat starts showing up for every single coffee break. Mug appears, cat appears. It's basically part of the routine now. The human gets their coffee, and the cat arrives hoping for a little catpuccino sample. Monday mornings might belong to caffeine, but the cats clearly think the coffee bar is open for everyone.

March Madness of Cat Memes

Cats celebrate March in style.

March brings us a lot of things. It's sort of the stripping away of winter worries, weary dreary weather starts to brighten. The grass gets greener, and Springtime feels like it's just on the verge of rolling around. We're well into March, so here are some purrfect cat memes that depict absolute March madness. March is a month that's full of symbolism, standing at the liminal space between winter and spring. It holds the feeling of a transitory time. Depending on where you are in the world it could still feel like you're immersed in winter, or like you're about to wear flip flops and head to a picnic. Because of this purrfect ephemeral space it's often times associated with renewal, awakening, and the promise of a bright spring full of growth.

Cats also give us that feeling that things are looking up. When they knock something off the table while making full eye contact with you, it's actually a sign that they love you! As love and springtime entangle each other, these March madness cat memes entangle your mind and mood into something positive. March is the return of spring. Things become brighter, colors are luridly popping off, like reds and oranges of flowers, green grasses, and leaves on a tree. The days become longer, and you no longer need your winter boots and coat.

Cats are an incredible part of March symbolism, in that they're active after the winter blues. Changing the weather means changing moods as well. The month is known for a sudden burst of sunshine, rains that only bring more flowers. It's the idea of new beginnings. Many people (and cats) feel a sense of motivation during this time of year. After the slower pace of winter, the increasing daylight can boost energy and inspire you to start fresh projects, spend more time outdoors, appreciate the world around you, and scroll more cat memes. So enjoy this harvested, springtime madness collection of cat memes to celebrate March madness in kitty cat style.

No one can resist a teeny tiny kitten in need.

That's exactly what happened – a kitten was in need. A man found her in a storeroom crying, she's so small that he doesn't even know how to care for her. He usually doesn't like cats, but he took one look at her and went, "awwww," and the deal was sealed, she was his. He gives a detailed list of how he's been caring for her so far. He's been feeding her with a dropper and says she drinks about 10-15 ml of diluted milk per feeding, and he's been feeding her every 2-3 hours. He claims she sleeps a lot and sometimes has small body tremors/shivers. He doesn't think she's cold, but after looking at the comments, it seems like she might be. He says he doesn't have a lot of experience with pets, and that's why he's seeking advice from the internet on how to care for her. He says she's able to crawl but seems very weak. She's also been crawling on top of him at a mere 230 g. The comments all seem to be in accordance with the fact that she needs to be warmer, and she needs his comfort. He did the right thing by asking people what to do, or else it could have ended badly for him and the cat. Read the full story below, and don't let a preconceived notion of a pet stop you from adopting a cat of your own!

Sometimes the shortest rescue stories are the sweetest, much like this one which tells the tale of a kitten who was rescued from the cold and promptly returned to his family after being missing for a mere 48 hours.

It is true, in most cases the longer the rescue takes the more harrowing the story is. Often involving injuries, illnesses or worse. Which is why we are excited to be bringing you this story which tells the tale of a tiny kitten who happened to somehow get out of the warmth and comfort of his home. And in a surprising turn of events, instead of being scared and hiding, this kitten went out in search of support to get himself home, or at least out of the cold that was worsening.

Honestly, it sounds like an animated movie, and we would be the first in line to buy tickets to see this tiny kitten named Tux weave his way through the world until he found his way home. Reuniting with his family who had been desperately searching for him the whole time he was missing.

Working from home can be quite the challenge with all the comforts of home to distract you. But in this collection of pawfessional felines we have an array of cat children keeping their pawrents company and focused while working from home.

After all, someone has to be responsible for buying the food in the home and it is most certainly not going to be our cat children as they have the soul of a hooman who worked in manual labor for 80 years of their life and is not going to lift a muscle to help no matter what. And we should really count ourselves lucky that there is someone out there for each of us cat pawrents who cares enough about our financial stability to encourage us to work to the best of our abilities so that we manage to hold on to our jobs in this tough employment climate.

So with that being said, give yourself a minute or two to enjoy these cute cats lounging on their pawrents' laps while working and then get back to work yourself. Lest you want to answer to your cat when you get home as to why you do not have a job an longer…

What kind of cat owner lets a cat with kittens roam outside to be lost for over a month?

How many times have we sat here and typed out this same sentiment? If you're going to "own" a cat, you need to take responsibility for it. That means keeping it safe, and even if it cries and screams to go outside, you have to teach it to be an indoor cat. Especially if it just had kittens. The big, bad world is no place for a momma cat and her baby kittens to survive in. Not with cars speeding by, hungry predators looking for their next meal, and snowy weather just waiting to do them harm.

Luckily, mom and her babies were rescued by a neighbor who found them in their shed. They took them in, and honestly, they did their due diligence in trying to find the owner. They posted on Facebook, asked the neighbors, called local vets to see if anyone reported a missing cat and kittens, but got no response. So, they did what any compassionate and caring purrson would: they found homes for the kittens and kept the momma cat.

Well, the "original owner" showed up out of the blue and demanded her cat and kittens back. She even threatened to call the police!

Okay, Karen, you go ahead and call the police. We can't wait for them to show up and laugh in your face.

An owner who doesn't care enough to find her fur babies is not a cat owner in our eyes at all. Scroll down to read the rest of the story!

Now, alongside the iconic Thai elephant, the Suphalak, Korat, Siamese, Konja, and Khao Manee cat breeds are a part of Thailand's cultural representation. Each breed has its own mythology, purrsonality, and cute characteristics that we're pawsitively obsessed with.

We've known from the beginning that cats were going to rule the world, and this is the first step to that happening. It may be a small step, but it is still a step. The Thai government has named its 5 indigenous cat breeds as part of Thailand's "national identity". Some of these breeds are rarer than others, like the Suphalak, a chocolate-colored cat with fierce features, and others are more well-known, like the Siamese cat.

Seeing as we love all kinds of cats here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we did some digging and found all the lore your feline-fanatic brain would ever hope for regarding these cute kitties. It's purrfectly fascinating to know that some Suphalak cats were thought to bring good luck, and others disaster. The Korat cats weren't for sale. They were instead given as gifts, especially to newly married couples. The Khao Manee were kept inside the royal palace, thought to bring good luck!

There aren't many people we can geek out about cats with, so this kind of news is purrfect for us. It's not every day you get to learn about rare and unique cat breeds that are now national symbols.

We know where our next trip is going to be, Thailand, here we come!
